The 2018 Winter Olympics are on their way. Its an amazing to see all the athletes doing their very best!
At this point many of us have already spent hours on end rooting for our favorites at the 2018 Winter Olympics. We have seen a few gold medals come in already for snow boarding, skating and and a few other events. We enjoy the excitement and the unifying nature of sports. In the end, like music and food, sports bring us together. Even after our favorites are off the picture a good sport well played is a joy to watch.
We hope all athletes involved in the games have the greatest of times. Its not every day a person can say they competed with the best each country can offer. Those few who can say it, even if they don’t make the podium, should be most proud. We root for all of you!More
LET IT SNOW! is the theme.
Transit was fair this morning while getting in. Our office is open and ready to see you. New York is such a great city. You can expect there to be so much activity any day, even under a snow storm. We keep plowing along because nothing stops us. For those of you who had to stay home, keep warm and enjoy the day off.More

Holiday season is here. Many of us are in the middle of the Christmas rush getting things ready for the big day. This is a time when people are joyful and warm. A time when family, friends and companies celebrate in one way or another. We all get together and share food, drinks laughs and sometimes even presents. Santa Claus multiplies into Secret Santa and Kris Kringle and other iterations while we create fond memories of this years festivities. Whichever way or holiday you celebrate, enjoy, have fun with others!
Aside from celebration, this is also a time of reflection and meditation. This is as good a time as any to think about what goes on around us, the rest of the world and see how we can contribute towards making things better. This is a great time to show good will and kindness to others, not the only time to do so, but a start. This is a time to help others where and when we’re able and do a good things for one another.
New York Urological Associates PC, wishes all a very happy holiday season 2017.More

Note that many plans require authorization for prescriptions. It seems that even commonly prescribed medications require it. Unfortunately, this way your insurance makes the process of providing you with your needed medications most time consuming. Insurance suggest that the doctor calls to obtain authorization. However, it is a most time consuming process. More often than not the doctors have several requests for pre-authorization at hand. Rather than making a call, our practice prefers to fill out a pre-authorization form. These are normally provided by your insurance and contain all information and/or questions pertinent to your particular prescription.
For that reason, if needed we ask you to obtain the required PRE-AUTHORIZATION forms from your PRESCRIPTION INSURANCE and have them forwarded to our office for the doctor’s review and fulfillment. This will allow the doctor to tend to the patients at the office as opposed to being held on the phone for several minutes a day jumping through insurance imposed processes.
Without the pre-authorization forms you will have to pay for your prescriptions out of pocket. Also, some plans have no coverage for certain medications. You’re welcome to have the insurance fax these to our main fax line:
You would think that with today’s technology there would be fewer problems with those services we depend on. Phone service, as ubiquitous as it is, it seems to fail more often than we’d like. We’ve had phone problems in the past and have had repairs done multiple times. However as the technology it relies on ages, the problems just resurface. Phone service providers at this point are putting most of their efforts in updating to new tech than maintaining and servicing old hardware. Whenever there are phone problems, with the old hardware, its more difficult to get it repaired quickly and efficiently. Today is one of those days. We hope it sorts out shortly. Kindly communicate with us by email whenever possible. We’ll be happy to address your concerns.
Today we are happy to congratulate Patricia H for her 25 year anniversary at New York Urological!
Patricia has been an invaluable team member in our practice. Through the years she has shown great care for our patients, doctors and staff members. She has been an exemplary care giver in our office and great point of guidance for our newer staff members. She has shown tireless commitment to our patient’s care. For that, many of our returning patients always ask for her if they don’t see her around during their visit. And those days she’s out of the office, some of our doctors have a hard time finding their way around the office.
Once more, Congratulations on your anniversary Patricia! Thanks for 25 years of caring for our patients!
—“I remember when Pat Holder first joined us in 1988. She brought to our Practice a refreshingly calm, responsive demeanor and a dedication and commitment to patients that was second to none. Patricia’s approach with patients has always been never to forget that patients come to us with health related concerns and that we are here to resolve them. In the twenty-five years she has been with us she has brought a spirit of collegiality, amiability and kindness that have benefited our patients and our entire staff. We congratulate her on 25 years and consider ourselves truly fortunate that she is with us. ”
John A. Fracchia, MD
–“Patricia is an example of someone who deeply cares about people. She cares about her patients, co-workers and her doctors. She is a team player, a tireless worker and is committed to giving her best at all times”
Marc D. Danziger, MD
–“Perfectly expressed. Could not agree more with Dr. Danziger”
Jon M. Reckler, MD
—“Patients love Patricia and ask about her if they don’t see her at their appointment. She was one of the people I relied on when I first started working here 15 years ago. In addition, the physicians are lost when she takes a well deserved day off!”
