TRANSRECTAL
ULTRASOUND-PROSTATE BIOPSY Take
a fleet enema the night before the procedure. Take
one antibiotic tablet two hours before the procedure. No
aspirin, Ibuprofen, blood thinners and or anti inflamatory
medications for ten days prior to the procedure. (Tylenol may be used) Coumadin must be stopped at least four days
before the procedure. Do
not urinate for at least three hours prior to the procedure. A full bladder facilitates the study. Eat normally. |
